→ you want a one-of-a-kind elopement experience planned for you and executed by us, with no sweat off your back other than having a good time and taking in the beauty of West Virginia while saying “I do” in one of our favorite elopement spots.
So far so good? Rad, keep scrolling.
Oh cool, we’re glad you asked. The West Virginia Elopement Collective is an all-inclusive elopement experience in WV crafted by a group of down-to-earth wedding vendors whose passion lies with helping people who just wanna get married.
This is a one-of-a-kind elopement planned for you and executed by us, with no sweat of your back other than having a good time and taking in the beauty of West Virginia while saying I-do in of one of our favorite elopement spots. You’ll pick the date, the location, and your wedding clothes. We’ll take care of the rest.
We’ve got you covered with planning, the officiant, photography, videography, and the option to add-on extras to make sure your elopement is everything you want it to be. You’ll just need to have a valid marriage license and good attitude (eloping is pretty fun so this shouldn’t be a problem!)
Explore below to find out more about our all-inclusive services.
Logistics and Planning
We plan your elopement from start to finish, including an in-house officiant to make your marriage legal. The only thing we need from you is to know what you want, where you want, and when you want. We take care of the rest (seriously!) You’ll get a unique handcrafted experience that is unique to you.
Photography and Videography
You’ll get full coverage of your elopement documented on both photo and video. Michelle (your photographer) has a knack for making folks feel super comfortable and Braiden (your videographer) is as cool and creative as they come. The ultimate duo behind the camera.
Custom reception and add-ons
We believe that even with an elopement, you can still experience some traditions of a wedding. You’ll get to keep your tummies full with a custom charcuterie board and a sweet dessert from a local baker, plus a reception set-up including music to top off the cozy vibes.

Yes, you can have a wedding that is simple, intimate, full of love with plenty of time to relax, and enjoy your day how you want to.

Elopements are inherently intimate and romantic, but Abbi and Carson took it to the next level with their secret elopement in the serene town of Green Bank, West Virginia. Nestled in the heart of Pocahontas County, Green Bank offered them the perfect backdrop for their special day. With no wifi, no cell service, and a profound sense of seclusion, it felt like stepping into another world—a private elopement haven.
Elopements are all about creating a day that is uniquely yours, and Briane and Jacob did just that with their stunning and colorful elopement in one of the wonders of West Virginia. Traveling from New Jersey, the couple chose our magical home in the hills because it was where Briane had proposed (and then the next day, Jacob re-proposed) during a romantic weekend getaway a few years prior. Wanting to explore somewhere new, they chose the town of Davis, Thomas, and Blackwater Falls as the setting of their private elopement.
For Kendra and Austin, the decision to elope privately was driven by their desire to focus solely on their love and commitment. While they planned a wedding reception a few months later to celebrate with friends and family, their elopement day was all about them. Despite a bit of initial pushback from family members who wished to be part of the ceremony, the couple remained steadfast in their decision, knowing that this was the perfect way to begin their married life together. Thankfully, understanding and support from their loved ones soon followed, allowing Kendra and Austin to enjoy their special day without any lingering concerns.
Ashley and Paul's elopement at Dolly Sods was a masterclass in intimate elegance and natural beauty. Nestled in the rugged wilderness of West Virginia, Dolly Sods offered the perfect backdrop for their special day, with its stunning vistas and early fall colors providing an idyllic setting for their vows and celebration.
This couple reached out to us last year about our all-inclusive elopement packages on the East Coast. We gladly arranged for a fall elopement date at our favorite location in West Virginia, Dolly Sods. We helped Mariah and Ben plan and execute their autumn microwedding at Dolly Sods in WV, where the sun was shining and the air felt cool and warm at the same time. This intimate, yet slightly scrambled (see below) elopement was a magical evening in Appalachia, where Mother Nature shared her venue with us to turn M + B’s elopement dreams into a reality.
Spruce Knob was a popular choice for elopements this year, and for good reason. As the highest point in WV, the scenic mountain views and ethereal feelings of being in another land, it truly is the perfect backdrop for an intimate wedding in West Virginia.
If you’re new around here, our elopement collective features an all-inclusive elopement package that includes photography, videography, officiant, planning, and a private reception. We primarily serve West Virginia, but gladly take on travel elopements in National Parks or other stunning landscapes across the US.

When I think about this elopement in Joshua Tree, one thing comes to mind: be bold.
Six weeks ago, Haley and Nathan came to us originally wanting to elope in our home state with only one must-have: the date had to be on March 23, their 10-year anniversary. With spring not quite ready to wake up here in Appalachia, we boldly pitched them the idea of going out west where the weather and scenery in March would fair us all much better. I’m certain that we all did a happy dance when Joshua Tree was chosen as their elopement location.
As always, we arrived to our elopement location a day early, to scout hikes and nail down our logistics. We basked in the sunshine of the 70-degree April day that Mother Nature gifted us with and we were all giddy with excitement for our first elopement of 2021. The next day, the weather turned on us and we encountered below freezing temperatures and full snow-storm. When we expressed our concerns to Lacie and Angel, they said “fuck it, let’s do it.” And we did.
Allison and Zane reached out to us about 4 weeks prior to their elopement day. Both coming from previous marriages, their priorities lied with having a stress-free day that focused on feelings instead of a production.
A rainy and cold day in November didn’t get in the away of permanent smiles on Allison and Zane’s face.
We spent the foggiest of days running around Dolly Sods. While they didn’t quite get the views they drove in for, these two Harry Potter lovers were stoked about the mood that the fog created. We spent our day in our three favorite spots at the Sods and enjoyed watching Jess and Hillary (and their son) soak in every minute of their sweet West Virginia elopement.
When Steffanie and Adrien reached out to us to plan their private elopement in New River Gorge, the only thing that was important to them was that it remained private (so no guests) and in the fall when the leaves were changing. We knew our all-inclusive elopement package was perfect for them and the intimacy they were searching for- no big production and no stress.
